In this crime-thriller, Constantine “Connie” Nikas (Robert Pattinson) and his developmentally disabled brother Nick Nikas (Bennie Safdie) rob a New York City bank for $65,000. After the dye pack explodes in a money bag, the driver crashes forcing the duo to flee on foot. Stopped by police, Nick is arrested while Connie escapes. Without the money to make Nick’s bail, Connie unsuccessfully tries to get money from his girlfriend’s mother. Nick is soon hospitalized from an altercation with another inmate, making Connie all the more desperate. He attempts to steal Nick from the hospital, sell drugs, and anything else he can scheme to free his brother while avoiding his own arrest.
